Kings Hill Pre-School

Kings Hill Pre-School Committee

  • Fiona Bryant

    Chairperson

My husband and I have lived on Kings Hill for 7 years and still enjoy being part of such a vibrant and varied community. I have one daughter, Amelia, currently in her last year at the pre-school.

I have been in the Customer Service Arena all my working life including running a Service Centre of over 100 staff. I have also worked in the law and health care industries in various roles including Sales Management, Training, Customer Service, and QA. This year I am hoping to expand my horizons and move into Childcare.

On top of looking after a couple of my friends children I enjoy walking and cycling which is good as I LOVE cooking and eating out.

I love the variety the role of Chair brings me especially working with the Pre-school Manager and staff and being the link between them and the Committee. However one fault according to my fellow committee members is that I talk too much!
  • Kelly Alden

    Vice-Chair

Mum to Dylan 4, currently in his last year at pre-school, and Kyle 1, who will be starting in September.

I also work part time in investment management for Bank of New York in London. Prior to Kyle being born I worked at Deutsche Bank for 9 years as an Investment Writer and Head of a Client Reporting team.

When I am not being a mum or working I like socialising with friends and love music and dancing.

As Vice-Chair I support Fiona in her numerous tasks but am specifically focussed on working with the council and Liberty to expand the pre-school and ensure we have the best facilities available.
  • Deborah Stiff

    Treasurer

My husband and I have lived on Kings Hill for 5 years and our son, Daniel, started at the pre-school in September 2009.

I am lucky enough to be a full-time Mum now, but prior to starting a family my career centred around Finance and Accounts. I started off as a Ledger Clerk and gradually worked my way up until, after several years of studying, I qualified as a Management Accountant in 2006. I have worked in manufacturing and service industries locally, and one day I would love to work for myself doing the books for small local businesses.

In my free time I enjoy swimming, reading and socialising with friends. I love cooking at home too and have a cookery book collection to rival any branch of Waterstones!

I am excited to be able to support the pre-school in the role of Treasurer, and look forward to assisting to maintain a stable financial position for the future.
  • Catherine Teague

    Vice-Treasurer

I currently have one child at the pre-school and one who has just left for big school.

I work part time as a careers adviser/project manager for a charity who promote the vital role of engineers in society and specifically engineering and science careers to young people.

My key role for the pre-school is applying for grants to help towards funding for equipment and activities. I also support Debbie in her role as Treasurer.
  • Catherine Antoun

    Fundraising & Community Events

My eldest son, Jake, recently left the pre-school for the dizzy heights of "big" school and my younger son, Scott, will start in September 2010.

Having gained a tennis scholarship to the University of Houston in America, I graduated with a BS in Sports Administration and Kinesiology. On returning to the UK, I began my working life organising exhibitions and went on to become a PA in a recruitment company and later an investment company before "retiring" to have children!
  • Helen Marsh

    Secretary

Mum to Sam who is at 'big school' having spent two happy years at the preschool, Harry who is currently at the pre-school and loves it and baby Sophie.

Having worked at Barclays for over 11 years in a number of roles including Strategy and Head of Internal Communications I now support my husband Steve in his business which provides strategic marketing consultancy and new media technology (including this website!)

Being secretary means I get an overall view of how the pre-school is running and the role is very varied from chairing meetings through to liaising with the Charities Commission. I love being able to support the pre-school in providing our children with a great start to their education.
